Gig Poster, New Zine, and Gallery Photos! (March Is Busy)
Tuesday, March 20th, 2012This week was a monster!
First on the docket is the new ANDREW JACKSON JIHDAD gig poster that’s now available in the store!
Also ‘SELF-PORTRAITS: FOLIO ONE’ is now available for purchase! This zine is a collection of my self-portrait illustration series, including ‘The Crying Series,’ which is not on the internet.
CHICAGO ZINE FEST was a good time. Thanks so much to everyone who came by the table! Your support is always amazing. I don’t actually have any photos from the event, but thanks everyone. My heart grew a hundred times its original size.
This past Friday was the opening of LONGING FOR HOME: READER’S ART 12 at the Susan Hensel Gallery! My book Going Back was included in the show. Here are some shots from the party:

And final news is that yesterday I was recorded for the LUTEFISK SUSHI PODCAST! It’ll be online April 5th.

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011From Wikipedia: “A fumi-e (Japanese: 踏み絵, fumi ‘stepping-on’ + e ‘picture’) was a likeness of Jesus or Mary upon which the religious authorities of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan required suspected Christians to step in order to prove that they were not members of that outlawed religion.” (link)
