Pierrefonds, from Untitled (France Series), on-going, pencil on paper, 2011 – 2012

My portfolio site,, has been updated with new drawings. Thumbnails go to the full corresponding series’, if applicable.

I’m really enjoying pencil drawings right now. I guess I’ve been dabbling in them for over a year, but I’m finally feeling really solid in it all. It isn’t scary, or competitive, or weird. It feels good. It feels controlled. I wish everything else felt this way.

Mailing List

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

I’m starting a mailing list that you can subscribe to HERE. It’ll be mostly repeats of announcements I make here, Tumblr and Twitter, but you’re sure to get them.

I have a good friend named Kyle who is kind of my “professional friend.” We can talk for hours about social networking, business card designs and which elbows to rub where. He’s one of the first friends I made in college, and now the oldest one I stay in contact with, and I love the guy. ANYWAY, he told me about these email newsletters he gets from an artist he likes, and they sounded lovely, so I’m giving it a go, too.

Also I just like email newsletters. They come to you rather than you going to them, like with social networking sites. They’re on your schedule to read and won’t disappear into the mirth of Tweets. You won’t accidently miss anything because you don’t have a Twitter account. The first email isn’t out yet but I’ll send it in a few days.

Website Update, with New Books, Drawings, and more!

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

Holy shit, it’s finally happened!

My portfolio site has been updated!

Many new additions to the Portfolio! New books Going Back and Relation can be read online, and are also available for purchase in physical form! Head over to The Store to check it out! Also have added a “Prints” section, which includes the CMYK screenprint Myrddin. The “Drawings” section is also packed with new stuff, including watercolors, illustrations and self-portraits. There is also a new promo page up in the “Comics” section for the graphic novel Jeremiah.

Going Back and Relation are two books I’ve been working on for a while, posting images from them onto this blog, and I’m really excited to finally launch them. I had them at the two conventions I’ve attended recently, but it never feels real until they’re online. I hope you find them interesting and engaging! I’ll post more in-depth about them when things aren’t so hectic, which will hopefully be soon. Update!
