JEREMIAH began its online serialization on September 3rd!

JEREMIAH is an ink and watercolor graphic novel spanning 160 pages. It’s about a sixteen-year-old farm kid who starts to experience doubt for the first time in his life.

New pages will arrive on JeremiahComic.com on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I’ll be posting all three pages to the Cathyboy Tumblr on Sundays, and I’ll reblog them onto JeremiahComic.Tumblr.com.

This has been a long time coming— years, really. I’m excited to finally, finally start sharing this story with you.

Go to JeremiahComic.com to start reading!

Studio Photos

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

A couple of photos of my studio. Hard at work on my senior thesis, a full-color graphic novel titled Jeremiah.

I’ve created a big “L” out of tables so I am basically consumed by workspaces, so I can have multiple pages going at once (pencilling, inking and watercoloring). The big lamp mimics natural light and is rather amazing to work with, it’s a lend from my friend Sarah to whom I am greatly indebted. The walls are covered in my own notes for other projects: books and writings mostly, some drawings. What cannot quite be seen is that I have two chairs: one low with a cushion, and one tall stool. The low one is for drawing and the tall one is for painting. Also note that the beer can is there as a model for painting, I don’t drink while I’m on the job!

I think it’s fun to see other people’s workspaces, so I thought I’d share my own. This is a new set-up for me this spring, and it’s pretty ideal. I can’t think of anything else I could ask for! I had to share a studio last semester, and I only had that one small table, and it was horrible. I like to spread out!!
